Hmmm this is probably going to be the last blog post for this class. Boy, that's a sad thought. I really did like this class, and I enjoyed learning about common culture. I had been afraid of English before. But now after this class I have really grown to love English again and to not be afraid of my writing. The last few presentations were really good and quite funny. Again I really did like this class and thanks Professor Snart for making me like English again.

Hmmm.... I think my webpages presentation went well today. It was a lot of fun trying to find pictures to go with the different quotes. I really did enjoy this assignment. I was a bit confused with it in the beginning but then it really did turn out great. This assignment has got me wanting to make my own website now. Anyways, everyone made plenty of great facts and pictures to go with the different webpages. I did learn a lot from other people's presentations. I was a walking advertisment today though. :)
Right now I'm having a fun time making these webpages about advertising. I've never really sat down and looked at all the advertisments around me. Nor did i really get the idea that when I wear a certain brand of clothing, I become a walking advertisment. The reading "The Cult You're In" makes it seem like we don't really have much of a choice but to be controlled by these marketing and advertising companies. I believe the quote is being a pawn in their game. There are though i realized many ads when it comes to when you want to write emails....and as always too many pop up ads. thank goodness for ad zapper. or other programs like that one.

okay...ooops i haven't written in blogger for a while now. Well anyways, I got a B+ on my last paper!!! I think writing is starting to come back to me. I was so afraid of English 101. The video that we watched on Monday, Merchants of Cool, was interesting and also gross. (poo diving....ew) I actually am a participant in one of those advertising companies that ask people what is cool and what is not. It's a lot of fun and actually pretty interesting. Tremor.com. It ask teenagers/college kids to make choices on commercials, ads, and movie pictures/titles. On another note, I'm having a lot of fun making these websites. Hope mine with come out looking good for next week!
